If you have, or are planning to have a home theater system, the following is a list of DVDs that you must have:
- Matrix
(Lobby Scene) - Besides just being a freaking cool scene, the audio is a terrific mix of pulsing music and flying bullets. The slow motion scenes let your system show it’s stuff visually, and the scene ends with a giant explosion, what more could you ask for? While you’ve got the disc in the drive, check out the Neo-Morpheus sparring scene.
- Saving Private Ryan (Taking the Beach) - Although I put the Matrix at number one out of personal bias, I have never failed to get jaw-dropping expressions from visitors when they see total carnage of this scene on a 130″ screen in (cranked up) surround sound.
